My name is Jamie, and I am a wife, mom and nurse. I live in a small farming community in Ostrander, Ohio with my husband Jeff, and son Madden. My husband is a chemistry teacher and my son is 16 and plays baseball, and plays the guitar.

I love New York City! I can’t count the number of times I have visited, and every time I find something new to love! It really is a fascinating city to visit. There is literally something for everybody.

So let me tell you how I got this travel opportunity. My first visit was in September 2001. My husband took me for our first year anniversary. My second visit was a few years later with my cousin Belinda. This trip is especially special to me since she was in remission from breast cancer. We were super close, and we hadn’t been anywhere together in a long time, with just the two of us. Sadly she passed away a couple years later, but I am so happy we had that trip! After I graduated nursing school, my sister Barb took me on a trip as a present. This is when it really started! We had so much fun, and made so many friend, that we lost control! For the next few years we were averaging trips to NYC every 6 weeks! Each time was like the first visit! After a while life takes hold and I had to slow down.

This is when the most fabulous person entered my life! Tracy from Tracy’s Trips NYC! We bonded over our love for the city. I had never met anyone who loved the city like I did, until I met Tracy. Also we discovered we were from the same small town, Steubenville, Ohio (home of Dean Martin). So I did a few trips with her company and had a blast! Then COVID hit, and all the fun stopped for a while. Tracy tried to restart the trips, but the COVID restrictions at the time made it impossible to accommodate everyone. She was able, after restrictions loosened up, to do a few more trips. However, in 2022 she stopped doing the trips. I was so sad, and missing the city. So my husband suggested to ask Tracy if she would mind if you did the trips. So that is what I did, and with Tracy’s blessing Jamie’s Journeys NYC was created!
